![]() My reman failed from stuck valve for 5th gear in 2 weeks they took the car, removed the reman and rebuilt it not charging me anything, even though they did not install it. Used & Remanufactured Chevrolet Malibu Transmissions 2010 for Sale. dealer will charge around $3300 for a GM reman and that will come with 3 years 100k warranty, for parts and labor. unbolt the strut towers, and drop the subframe. Un bold the trans from the engine and TC. Just hang the engine with a strut tower brace. Find a local trans shop should cost $1500 installed. If you have been driving in reverse as much as I did, you can pull the trans drain plug and the should fluid shave metals filings in it. Not worth trying to salvage because tiny metal pieces can hide anywhere. The trans is not worth salvaging because there is debris in every nook and cranny. Dealer is well aware of this with the 6t40 Then the entire assembly chewed itself up. Your 3-5-R wave plate has broken into pieces. Same exact thing you described happened to me. They’ve listed code P0700: transmission control module requested MIL illumination. Should I take it to a transmission repair shop, or just start looking for a new car (I dread starting those monthly payments again.)Įdit: just looked at the dealership notes.
